Milan Design Week 2024 In Review
Milan saw a week of creativity, innovation and inspiration with Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone events and exhibitions showcasing the latest from the design industry.
Highlights include revolutionary innovations from Arper with Catifa Carta, new collaborations with Tacchini, re-editions of great design masters and considered craftsmanship from more of Stylecraft’s brands.

Arper unveiled the Catifa Carta, made from 29 layers of paper bonded with natural resin, the patented PaperShell is a durable material which acts as a carbon sink, capturing more CO2 throughout its lifecycle than it releases during its production.
By embracing the concept of circularity, Arper stands as a symbol of beauty, functionality, and sustainability seamlessly coexisting.
Ritzwell’s exhibit at Salone del Mobile showcased the brands values and founding principles, enhancing the elegance of the new collections whilst referencing tradition, harmonious shapes and natural elements.
The brands balanced mix between Japanese culture and contemporary language was conveyed through a practical display of Japanese craftsmanship and hand stitching of leather.
Prostoria introduced new designs created in collaboration with Numen/ForUse, suitable for commercial, public and residential spaces.
In a world where comfort is paramount, the new releases stand as a testament to this, offering immediate comfort through thoughtful designs and plush forms.
The Salone del Mobile saw Tacchini continue its celebration of timeless pieces, including new collaborations and re-editions of great design masters.
A highly experimental space, designed by Lorenzo Bini and styled by Charlotte de La Grandiere, showcased new products in an atmosphere reminiscent of the warmth of home.
Re-editions continue the dialogue between past and present as the new collection features new icons such as Serie 500 by Gianfranco Frattini and more.
Tacchini collaborated with cc-tapis to create the Rude Arts Club, designed by Faye Toogood.
A combined vision of two collections, Rude the third chapter of the collaboration of Toogood and cc-tapis, and Cosmic, Tacchini’s first collection with Toogood, offered an immersive experience to discover and interact with the pieces.
The collection includes an expanded lighting offering featuring the re-edition of the historic Dana lamp by the duo Jean-Pierre Garrault and Henri Delord.
